In the next two years we are going to carry out our comenius school partnership project called Uniting Europe. The aims of the project are to make young people exchange life experiences by learing about the culture, history and social habits of their partners. And to become aware of an European citizen. In the project we will use English as means of communication, so we will all be able to write to each other and learn about students in other countries. Besides the lettes the students will participate in the making of a web newspaper and will send each other nice things they have made. During the project the partner schools will bring students to the project meetings. These students will be the ambassadors for their school and will report back to their classes.

The participating schools are: The IES Pintor Rafael Requena in Caudete, Spain. The Hauptschule Stadtmitte in Lueneburg, Germany. The Wilhelm Bracke Gesamtschule in Braunschweig, Germany.
The 's Gravendreef College in The Hague, Holland.

The first meeting was held in Braunschweig from the 29th of October 2009 till the 1st of November 2009.

A
new newspaper about the exchange will be made in October. All the students who Where
at Lüneburg as an exchange student or host will write a short story about their
experiences. The deadline for this work will be the 8th of October

PowerPoint about national celebrities. It can be about DJ’s, football players, musicians, movie stars etcetera. The best practice
will be put online. The deadline for this work will be the 19th of
November.
In
December we will write Christmas cards again. Every student has to write his
own card. The start of the holiday will be different in each country. So
the deadline for sending these cards is the 3rd of December.
The
student will write a recipe for the Christmas dinner. The will make pictures of
the dinner and add this to the word document. We will make a Uniting Europe
cookbook of it and put it online. The deadline for this work is the 14th of
January.
This
work will be about poetry. It can be made in small groups (two of three
students) the subject has to be Europe and all that comes with it. The deadline
for this work is 18th of March.
After
the last meeting in The Hague the exchange students will make another newspaper
about their trip to Holland. The deadline for this work is 15th of April.
